Dream Catcher is an eye catcher in more ways than one! Her dense, fine crimpy fleece abundently covers her perfect confirmation and outstanding presence. Promise you a photo very soon!

The judges loved her fleece at the 2008 Estes Park Wool Market where she received a blue ribbon and the COLOR CHAMPION in the fawn class. At Fall Fest in the Halter class she took 3rd, while Luna Nueva's Chiquitta took 2nd and Reserve Color Champion. Judge David Barbosa made a point of commenting that the top three in the class were very, very close and hard to separate.

Dream Catcher also has incredible champion bloodlines backing her up starting with her sire Afire Kracker, his sire is the famous Peruvian Ion the highest selling alpaca in the Alpacas of America auction 2005, and a FULL ALIAZANA champion by the even more famous Peruvian Guellermo. Ion’s genetics are remarkable enough that he has passed on his outstanding coverage, superior fineness, density, crimp and uniformity, with a fiber static of: 17.1, SD 3.7, CV 21.6%, and .7% >30 to his offspring, and Afire Kracker managed to get more than his fair share. Like Father - Like Son he is passing his remarkable fleece characteristics and gentle demeanor onto his crias!! Ion is known for replicating himself in all colors.

Her dam is Shining Star aka "Beans" who is a great young lady who has it all, looks, personality and breeding. Her fleece has fabulous crimp, extreme density, long staple length and very high luster. She also has a very calm and approachable personality. Her father was a Grand Champion at the Canadian Calcutta, winning out over 110 other alpacas. Her paternal grandfather is Jolimont Peruvian Pauco, often referred to as the "Hemmingway of Canada". Her dam Pearly has been a fantastic mother and reliable producer. Beans gave birth last fall to twins and after the first weeks has nursed both to healthy yearlings.
